Scott M. Bloom serves as the Senior Vice President for Helmsley Spear, LLC.
Since 1989, Mr. Bloom has fulfilled the diverse needs of property owners and space users in the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate, whether to be leased, developed, or purchased. Prior to forming Bloom Real Estate Group, Mr. Bloom spent 15 years at the predecessors of Newmark Knight Frank and Colliers gaining leasing and sales experience representing both landlords and tenants, as well as and sellers and purchasers.
Mr. Bloom received the prestigious REBNY Retail Deal of the Year Award which most significantly benefited Manhattan in 2012. In the prior 10 year period, Lower Manhattan saw a population increase of over 65,000 new residents. 55 Fulton Market is what they needed.
As Landlord representative, he helped lease and sell over 4,000,000 RSF while boosting occupancy rates, from as low as 55% as to high as 97%-100% on several projects in which he has worked. In addition to serving as exclusive leasing agent for office buildings such as Carnegie Hall Tower, 1776 Broadway and 400 Madison Avenue, he has successfully completed more than 1,400 leasing and sales transactions.
Some notable tenant representations include 9/11 Memorial Foundation, Hubert Burda Media, YAI National Institute of people with disabilities, Moinian Group, QSAC – Quality Services for the Autism Community and Mustela.
Scott prides himself on being an active member of dozens of industry, non-profit and charitable organizations including the Real Estate Board of New York (Grand Central Committee Executive Board), Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Association, Federal Drug Agents Foundation, Art of Peace Charitable Trust / Peace Angels, the World Wide Children’s Foundation, City Athletic Club, High School for Leadership and Public Service, ETASam Foundation, Judy Fund of Alzheimer’s Association, NY Blood Center, YAI National Institute for People with Disabilities Brighter Futures Society, and many others.
Mr. Bloom earned his degree in marketing from Syracuse University’s School of Management and serves on the executive board of its NYC alumni association.
He, his wife, and his son all reside in Manhattan.
