PETER SHAKALIS
SENIOR MANAGING Director
Peter Shakalis serves as a Senior Managing Director with Helmsley Spear. Over the past 35 years he has specialized in tenant representative agency work for a variety of prominent tenants in the New York Metropolitan Area.
During his career he has completed office lease acquisitions and disposition assignments for a variety of major corporations, institutions, and governmental agencies. He has been appointed as exclusive real estate agent with Marriott Hotels, Customers Bank, Planned Parenthood, The Permanent Mission of New Zealand to the United Nations, the Government of Greece, and Ducati Motorsports. Mr. Shakalis has also represented tenants with office space disposition assignments with the responsibility for development and implementation of marketing strategies to principals and the brokerage community.
Prior to joining Helmsley Spear, Peter was a Senior Director at Colliers International and CB Richard Ellis Company working with commercial tenants on a local and national scope.
He received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Hofstra University. In 1989, he was awarded a Certificate in Real Estate Finance and Investment from New York University.
